Terms of use
These terms govern your use of DanceRep, private cloud backup and sharing moves. The operator is Semjon Eschweiler; address and contact details are in the legal notice. Our privacy policy explains how personal data is processed.
Your moves and recordings
You retain your rights to your content. You allow us to store, transfer and display previews of it to the extent needed for the features you choose, and to send it to recipients when you create a share. Share only recordings you made or content for which you have the necessary rights. This includes music and course material in a recording.
Identifiable people must have agreed to the recording and its respective use where consent is required. Recordings involving children require particular care; all necessary consent must be in place before sharing.
Prohibited content and conduct
- Sexually explicit content and pornographic depictions.
- Content that endangers, exploits or sexualizes children.
- Glorification of violence, specific threats and calls for dangerous or illegal conduct.
- Hate, discrimination, harassment and targeted humiliation of others.
- Copyright infringement, including sharing another person's course videos without permission.
- Recordings or personal information used in violation of another person's rights.
- Other illegal content, impersonation and abusive reports.
Ordinary dance and training recordings are allowed when these rules are respected. The rules also apply to move names, display names, notes and tags.
Private shares
A share includes the move name, selected tags, notes, recording date, your display name and, where present, a clip and preview image. Anyone with the link can access it after signing in and can forward the link. Create shares only for content you are willing to distribute this way.
Links expire after seven days. You can revoke one earlier; a new share of the same move replaces the previous link. An import creates an independent copy in the recipient's private board. Copies already imported are not automatically removed when you revoke a link or delete your account. A display name does not prove authorship or identity.
Reporting, blocking and moderation
You can report content and senders from an import preview or an imported move. Choose a reason and optionally add a short description. Blocking is a separate action: further shares from that sender are blocked for you, and existing imports are hidden. In Settings, you can remove the block or delete hidden moves.
We review reports and may block shares and associated content or temporarily or permanently disable an account's sharing function. Authorized administrators may inspect the reported snapshot, including its video. You can ask us to review a moderation decision using the contact in the legal notice; include the relevant share or case ID if possible. Use the same contact for urgent child-safety concerns.
Acceptance and changes
Before cloud use, your acceptance is stored with the terms version and time. Before each new share, you additionally confirm that you have the necessary rights and consent. We ask you to accept again if these terms change materially.
Contact and account closure
You may stop using DanceRep at any time and request account deletion in the app or through our account deletion page. Your legal rights remain unaffected. For questions or complaints, email info@dancerep.app.
